Well and Good

• Well may be used as either an adjective or an adverb. As an adjective, well has three meanings:

  • 1. To be in good health.
    • He is well. He feels well.
  • 2. To have a desirable appearance.
    • You are looking well today.
  • 3. To be satisfactory.
    • It is well. All is well.
